Bedford parish's KSS (Kolo Srpskih Sestara, or the Circle of Serbian Sisters) celebrated their Slava in prayer marking 65 years of its existence and doing the Lord's work.
The domaćica (hostess) of the celebration was Nena Lukić. The honours next year's were received by Mirjana Mirka Simić.
Bedford parish's KSS, named St. Mother Paraskeva - St. Petka, was founded in 1955 and celebrated its 65th anniversary.
In the past, very frequent guests were HRH Princes Tomislav and Andrej Karađorđević, as can be seen in photographs from that time.
This important 65th year jubilee was celebrated in accordance with pandemic masures at our Chapel, with Divine Liturgy and the blessing of the ceremonial kolač. We also held a memorial service for all the departed sisters.
We wish members of our parish KSS good health, with our gratitude for their love and hard work for the benefit of our parish. May the sisters have eternal remembrance in the Kingdom of Heaven.
